MAETERLINCK, Maurice (1862-1949), Belgian writer, 3 letters addressed to Jeanne DE TALLENAY (12863-1920), Belgian writer who held a salon at the end of the 19th century in Brussels. She frequented Picard, Péladan, Lemonnier, Morice, etc. Three autographed pieces: 1. Small letter of one page in-12 dated July 4 [1896] He comes back from England and finds the book of Jeanne de Tallenay. "It was one of the good joys that smiled on me on the threshold on my return. "He thanks her for her dedication. It is probably "Au sanatorium" which Maeterlinck mentions in this letter of July 4 [1996] which he will read. 2. Undated card [1896]: It is about the little book he has just read and which he declares to be "a pure and profound masterpiece". And "There was a great distance between "Les Treize douleurs" [Paris, Ollendorff, 1895] and the volumes that precede them; there is an even greater distance between "Sanatorium" [Brussels, Vve Larcier, 1896] and "Les treize douleurs" [...]. 3. Letter of 4 pages in-12 dated August 19 [1896?] A rather intimate letter: "What would I say to you?
