CÉLINE (1894-1961). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages in-4, addressed to the painter and draughtsman GEN PAUL (Eugène Paul, 1895-1975) who offered it afterwards, the letter bearing in the upper left-hand corner the mention "à mon pote spector. Gen Paul"): "Dear Popol - / Here you are soon on your way... I hope everything is ready. Don't forget to send a telegram from the boat [?] Have a good time. See especially Sande for me and my friends Bourgeois and Parker [...]. It is possible that I will be in Le Havre when you return. Here I am very well to work. Admirably on the port. A large and quiet room [...]". He will stay in Saint-Malo then in Guernsey. He awaits his triumphant return with impatience: "Draw me some dancers". And to sign: "Your old friend, Regards to your wife. Louis Ferd".
