NOUGÉ (Paul). The Charleroi Conference. Brussels, Le Miroir infidèle, 1946, in-12, 76 p., br. Edit. orig. Current issue after 25 Featherweight. "La Conférence de Charleroi" takes up a speech given in the stock exchange room in 1929. This text, in which Nougé expressed his conception of art, gave back to music, a genre scorned by Breton and the French Surrealists, all its subversive dimension. Nougé demonstrates a "rare clairvoyant analysis of the musical field [...] that precedes the performance by André Souris of works by Hindemith, Honegger or Stravinsky" (Xavier Canonne, Le Surréalisme en Belgique 1924-2000, p. 24).
