Painter, watercolourist and graphic designer, Elisabeth Ivanovsky (Kichinev / Russia, 1910 - Brussels, 2006) studied at the School of Art in Chisinau, then in Bucharest and finally at La Cambre in Brussels. Widow of the poet René Meurant, she illustrated countless children's books, designing theatre costumes, sets and posters (Russian Book Art, 1904-2005.
