WILD.- MAC ORLAN (Pierre).
Parades abolished. Fairground impressions. Watercolours by Roger Wild with a note from the illustrator. Paris, A. et P. Jarach, 1945, 4°, in sheets, filled cover, folder and editor's case (very rare russet). The work is decorated with 13 coloured ink-text engravings, a frontispiece, drawings and culs-de-lampe. The typography of this work was made by the printing house La Ruche in Paris in 1944, the illustrations drawn by the Atelier de la Tradition were hand-coloured by Edmond Vairel and completed in April 1944. Original edition of 282 ex. num. on paper from Auvergne at the Moulin de Richard de Bas. 1/240 numbered from 43 to 282. Roger Wild born in Lausanne in 1894 became friends with Modigliani and Pascin. His work reflects his predilection for the fauna of the suburbs and fairgrounds.
