Johann Nicolaus Funck (Latinized name in Funccius) is a German humanist born in Marburg in 1693 and died in Rinteln in 1777. He was a teacher and librarian at the Rinteln secondary school. He left behind remarkable works of philology, including a series of books on the successive vicissitudes of the Latin language, including this one.
