MULLER (Jacques). "A Encino, Los Angeles" (1982). Acrylic on canvas, mounted on stretcher, titled, dated and signed in the lower right corner. Frame size: 130 x 160 cm; subject: 132 x 162 cm. Figurative painter and engraver, Jacques Muller (Brussels, 1930-1997) is influenced by expressionism and non-figuration. He represents the world of the circus and then takes an interest in urban landscapes and biblical themes. Studied at Saint-Luc de Bruxelles, La Grande Chaumière in Paris and at Kokoschka's in Salzburg. Co-founder of the "Mouvement Réaliste", "Manus" and "Artes Bruxellae".
