Paris, La Librairie usuelle, 1836, III-788 p., printed on 2 columns (typographical title in the form of a stemmed glass), 11 plates TD, contemporary brown half calf, smooth spine decorated, gilt title (reinforced spine, damaged upper cap, partly split jaws). Very complete with its eleven plates of table plans at the end of the book, and in text illustrations (the first plate is sometimes used as a frontispiece). The only edition of this encyclopaedia of the table, the most complete one published before Fabre's. An important work on culinary art in the 19th century, treated in dictionary form, giving both bourgeois recipes and table plans, or menu suggestions (Vicar, 132, only 8 plates; Bitting, 69; Simon, 270).
