Manuscript in Latin and German from the early 17th century - "Sigismundus / von Peterswaedtt [?] / Anno aera christiana / 1608". Manual of the Latin language: "Verba primae coniugationis", secundae coniugationis, tertiae..., "Interpretatio vocum sive exemplorum quae sunt in etymologia"... followed by Latin quotations, several of which are from Sacred Scripture. Several subjects are treated in the form of glossaries, lexicons and tables. Manuscript on 14.5 x 10 cm paper, 192 leaves (leaves 132 to the end are blank, several hands, full vellum of the time (damaged binding). Former owner: Count of Nostitz and Reineck, general captain of the duchies of Schweidnitz and Jawer. Ambassador in Poland. Bookplate engraved with his coat of arms: Quarterly; 1. Azure a crescent Or supporting two buffalo horns chequy Argent and Gules; 2. Argent a half-flight Sable charged with a fess Argent; 3. Argent, and 4. Azure, and on the whole a reed set in pale, the stangue of which is Argent the right crossbar Azure on the Argent of the 3. quarter, and the left crossbar Or on the Azure of the 4. quarter; and of its initials: C. W. G. V. N. on the front counterpart.
