Original edition. Engineer by training, Amédée-François Frézier (1682-1773) belongs to the generation of encyclopedists by his ambition to put knowledge in order, as he proposes it here with "La Théorie et la Pratique de la coupe des pierres". This manual was written for the students of Jacques-François Blondel's school, whose "Architecture Course" contains only a small chapter on the subject.
