PAPUS, correspondence addressed to Jeanne de TALLENAY comprising: an autograph letter 4° of two pages without date signed Gérard; an autograph letter 4° signed Papus, undated, with letterhead of the review "L'Initiation"; two autograph pages on fine paper (strongly crumpled), the first dated May 19, 1909 is signed Gérard, the second only titled: "Development". Beginning of the letter: "For you and for you alone, my dear friend, I have projected all my forces of love into this astral world which I promised to open up to your talent" ; a horoscope dated Brussels, May 5, 1893 ; two handwritten pages of delirious reflections. Gérard Anaclet Vincent Encausse, known as Papus (1865-1916), is a French physician and occultist, co-founder of the Martinist Order with Augustin Chaboseau. He was one of the picturesque and colourful figures of the Belle Époque. He defended himself from being a thaumaturge or an inspired person and presented himself as a scientist, an experimenter / 5-piece set.
