Jean Voilier is the literary pseudonym of a brilliant lawyer, Jeanne Loviton (1903-1996), the last and great love of Paul Valéry, who met her in 1937. A free woman, Jeanne Loviton collected literary lovers: Giraudoux, Saint-John Perse, Malaparte and a few others. In 1945, she was the last companion of the publisher Robert Denoël, assassinated on December 2nd.
