Dry stamp: Phototypie / C. Peigné / Tours. Size: (5 x) 50 x 65 cm; subject: (5 x) 27.5 x 38.5 cm. These photographs show the Austrian pavilion with its many display cases containing furniture, cutlery, crystalware, etc. From 1881, Constant Peigné was listed as a professional photographer in Tours. He was one of the city's most important. He took part in numerous art and industry exhibitions in the 1880s, winning gold and silver medals, including a silver medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1889. A rare item.
