MARIEN (Marcel).
Important set of bristol cards filled with mss notes, notably on his surrealist friends: Breton, Dali, Duchamp, Magritte, Nougé. "Dali admirably (?) understood that the general public or the public of money expected from a surrealist an external behavior in conformity with the poverty of its imagination and thus that to conquer it, it was necessary to have recourse to the most absurd antics". Other reflections and impressions: "At the bottom: what is it not to be happy"; "It spreads out. She puts her hands on her breasts. She breathes. Her head rolls a little off the bed. She is silent. She is naked"; "Schopenhauer became furious and refused to pay his debts when they were claimed by writing his name with two p's"; "I have just sent a telegram to a delicious young girl whom I had slapped the day before, with the following message: I FORGIVE YOU. Ten years ago, in similar circumstances, I would have written the following: GIVE ME AWAY. Travels form the youth". Among this set of reflections, there is also 1 small drawing.
