Contributions of Albert Camus, Léo Malet, Jacques Prévert, Raymond Queneau, Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes, Bernard Blier, Boris Vian, Jean Vilar, Antonin Artaud, Jean Ritsos, Yves Montand, Mouloudji, and many others. Léo Sauvage (1913-1988) uses the title of Jules Vallès's journal published from 1867 to 1868. Pierre Minet wrote about it however: "July 15 [1946] Sixth number of "La Rue". Absolute baseness of this newspaper, of this rag which is the most advanced, the most indecent expression of a state of mind which is in the majority today. That lacks monstrously of dignity!... ".
