DUBUFFET (Jean).
Typed letter signed, addressed to Youki Desnos. Under stamped envelope. In this letter dated June 11, 1953, Jean Dubuffet thanks her for the autographed book of Robert Desnos published by Bertelé; he remembers his meeting with Robert Desnos in the Latin Quarter. He also evokes the beautiful article written by Youki's friend, the author and painter Henri Espinouze, about his "Portraits"... Artistic figure of Montparnasse in the 1930s, Youki Desnos (1903 - 1966) owes her nickname to her husband, the painter Foujita. She then shared the life of the surrealist poet Robert Desnos from December 1931 when Foujita left Paris and entrusted her to his notorious lover.
