GUIGNABODET (Liliane). Le Livre du vent. P.-Brux, à compte d - Lot 106
GUIGNABODET (Liliane). Le Livre du vent. P.-Brux, à compte d'auteur, 1983, 4°, br. in a green cloth cover. These "Bulgarian legends" are illustrated with 20 original engravings by Angelo Bossi printed on strong vellum paper, justified, dated and signed in pencil; this suite of engravings is presented in a second green cloth slipcase, the whole under a grey cloth slipcase whose upper cover is lined in full red oasis, titled in glagolitic character and embellished with collages. First edition printed at 23 copies, enriched with an original copper by Bossi. Copy enriched moreover of autograph letters and notes of the author and the bookbinder C. Lejeune, relative to the work. "This book object is the fruit of the collaboration of three artists, A. Bossi, L. Guignabodet and C. Lejeune". Liliane Guignabodet (Paris, 1939) lived the first twelve years of her childhood in Sofia, Bulgaria, with her grandmother of Greek origin. She studied at the Sorbonne, where she obtained a degree in modern literature, and at Cambridge University, where she obtained a certificate in English language and literature. Her novel "Natalia" published by Albin Michel received the Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française in 1983. Painter and engraver, Angelo Bossi (Tripoli, Libya, °1937) moved to Belgium in 1961. Training at La Cambre with Gustave Marchoul. Relativizes with irony the burlesque show that the human being plays in this world. He mixes the tragic and the commedia dell'arte, the cruelty and the poetry. Nice copy.
