Limited edition of 270 copies on vellum of Rives. 1/100 for the editions Au Pont des Arts (this one not numbered). Edition including 56 lithographs by Derain. "The sets and characters that illustrate here The Barber of Seville by Beaumarchais, had been created by André Derain in 1953 for the performance of Rossini's opera at the festival of Aix-en-Provence. The gouaches were mounted on stone by Maurice Mourlot; the lithographs were printed on the presses of Mourlot Frères.
