GOMEZ (Helios). Viva octubre. Drawings on the Spanish Revolution. Brux, E.P.I. (Impr. Bolyn), [1935], 8°, bound with a string, cover illustrated in red and black (2nd cover spotted with micro tear, rare stains at the head of the volume). Introductory text by Jean Cassou. First edition. Ordinary copy not numbered. Most of the 20 woodcuts were drawn from October to December 1934 on board "L'Uruguay", a floating prison in the port of Barcelona. Helios Gomez (1905-1956), Spanish libertarian of gypsy and Andalusian origin, took part in the civil war; he was interned in camps and exiled in Belgium. He died in a Barcelona prison after 8 years of imprisonment. "Viva octubre" is his third book after "Dias de ira" and "Revolucion Española".
