First edition including 40 plates in black (plates 111 to 150). 2 plates of L'Enfer and the announcement leaflet for the "Visions intimes et rassurantes de la guerre" by Jean Bruller, published by Nourritures terrestres, are enclosed. Jean Bruller (Paris, 1902-1991) was a French illustrator and writer. He adopted the literary pseudonym "Vercors" in 1941 during the Resistance. Thereafter, he kept the name Bruller for his work as an artist and the name Vercors as a writer.
