DULAGUE [(Vincent)]. Lessons of navigation. Fourth edition revised and enlarged by the author. Rouen, J. Racine, 1793, 8°, XXIV-404-79-1 bl. p., 8 folding plates (from A to H; plate C placed after p. 300, corner torn on plate A), full contemporary brown calf, decorated smooth spine (title-piece missing, small worm-work without consequence, binding restored). Vincent François Jean-Noël Dulague, born in Dieppe in 1729 and died in Rouen in 1805, was a French hydrographer. Professor of hydrography at the royal college of Rouen, he is the author of two works that were references in the marine schools: Leçons de navigation (1768) and Principes de navigation, ou Abrégé de la théorie et de la pratique du pilotage (1787).
