NOUGÉ (Paul).
La Conférence de Charleroi. Brux, Le Miroir infidèle, 1946, in-12, 76 p., br. not cut. Original edition. Current edition after 25 Featherweight. "La Conférence de Charleroi" reprints a speech given in the Salle de la Bourse in 1929. This text, in which Nougé expressed his conception of art, gave back to music, a genre disdained by Breton and the French surrealists, all its subversive dimension. Nougé demonstrates a "rare clairvoyant analysis of the musical domain [...] which precedes André Souris' performance of works by Hindemith, Honegger or Stravinsky" (Xavier Canonne, Le Surréalisme en Belgique 1924-2000, p. 24).
