Arminianism is a Protestant theological current founded in the early 17th c. on the basis of the ideas of Jacobus Arminius (1560-1609), the Latinized name of Jakob Hermanszoon, a Dutch theologian of the period of the Protestant Reformation whose conceptions are at the base of Arminianism and the Dutch remonstrance movement. He was professor of theology at the University of Leiden from 1603 and wrote numerous books and treatises on theology. Rare especially in good condition.
